Manzaneque Wineries

Manuel Manzaneque family winery, viticulturist and oenologist, and his wife Paloma Mínguez, a great lover of gastronomy, the countryside and good wine. This is a project that is born from love and passion. From the love that Manuel and Paloma have for the terroir of their area and the passion for making wines, hedonistic, honest and with soul in it, showing the splendor of this terroir and the vines that have been there for decades. Manuel Manzaneque Suarez I studied Viticulture and Oenology at the Agropolis School in Montpellier. He interned and worked in several prestigious wineries in the South of France, Spain, and Bordeaux, such as the 2001 vintage under the orders of Michel Rolland at his Chateau Le Bon Pasteur in Pomerol. For 10 years he has been technical director of his family’s winery, in Bonillo. Being the person most responsible for the vineyard and the oenology of this wine estate.

2011

The Wines project begins. ¡EA! With the aim of rescuing old vines of native varieties, after several tests with Bobales and Garnacha Tintorera begins its path with Cencibel from old vineyards, where it seeks, thanks to these 40 to 70 year old vines, a very enjoyable wine.

2013

The range is expanded with a white wine, mainly Macabeo and Airén, native varieties of the area and with which it is intended to expand the initial project following the same philosophy of old vineyards and native varieties.

2014

The range of Mil Cepas plot wines is born, based on the maxim “one vineyard…one wine”, selects plots in different areas for the production of great wines, signature wines, in short, wines with soul. And with these premises, first our Mil Cepas Cencibel 2014 and Mil Cepas Bobal 2016 go on the market.
